Sip and Co is a charming café conveniently nestled just below Central Park, dedicated to offering a welcoming neighborhood experience amidst the hustle and bustle of midtown. We are currently seeking a flexible and enthusiastic fulltime Cashier/Barista to join our tight-knit team, with opportunities for long-term growth within our café!
Don't hesitate to apply even if you do not have extensive barista experience, as we are willing to train accordingly so long as you share the same passion and energy that we are seeking here at the cafe. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Accurately process transactions and customize coffee orders (e.g., milk type, iced or hot, sizes, customer name, dining option).
- Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked bar and dining area.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and efficient workspace.
Qualifications:
- Team-oriented and fast-paced work ethic.
- Self-motivation and initiative.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to fostering a healthy and positive work environment.
- Passion for coffee and customer service; no extensive barista experience required—training provided!
- NYC Food Handler's license.

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience; tips range from $8 -$12/hr

Experience:
- Guest services: 1 year (Preferred)
