Planet Kids is seeking an energetic, nurturing, and dedicated Two-Year-Old Preschool Teacher to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who goes above and beyond every day to provide exceptional care, meaningful education, and unforgettable experiences for our preschool children. Qualifications
- Must have completed the Florida DCF 45-Hour Child Care Training.
- Staff Credential / CDA a plus!
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Previous experience working with two-year-olds or in a large group childcare setting is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
- Knowledge of Frog Street Curriculum is a plus.
- Experience using Procare childcare management software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children ages two years old.
- Implement daily lesson plans and activities using developmentally appropriate practices and the Frog Street Curriculum.
- Create meaningful learning experiences that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Foster a classroom filled with kindness, encouragement, curiosity, and joyful learning.
- Go above and beyond to create magical moments that make every child feel loved, valued, and successful.
- Supervise and appropriately manage a large, busy classroom while maintaining a calm, organized, and positive environment.
- Build positive relationships with families through excellent communication and outstanding customer service.
- Complete daily documentation, assessments, and classroom observations accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that meets all licensing requirements.
- Follow all state licensing regulations and Planet Kids policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure the highest quality of care and education.
- Assist with meals, diapering, potty training, transitions, playground supervision, and classroom routines.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
