Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by obtaining medical histories, and evaluating oral health status.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term health.
- Operate Open Dental dental software systems for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Support the dental team with medical imaging, medical record review, and documentation review to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
- Proven experience in dental hygiene, preferably within a busy dental clinic or office environment.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs.
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
