We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support asbestos abatement, demolition, and hazardous material removal projects throughout Western and Central New York. The ideal candidate will have strong equipment operating skills, mechanical repair skills, and the ability to work effectively in both field and shop environments.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment on demolition and environmental remediation projects
- Perform selective and structural demolition, including:
- Commercial interior and exterior selective demolition
- Full residential house demolition
- Full commercial structural demolition
- Assist shop and field crews with tasks when not operating heavy equipment
- Perform basic equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed in the field or shop
- Identify potential operational or safety issues in advance and take corrective action
- Complete daily logs, inspection reports, and other required paperwork accurately and on time
- Work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and integrity
Qualifications
- Experience operating heavy equipment in demolition, excavation, or environmental remediation
- Knowledge to perform equipment maintenance and repairs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying job site conditions
- Minimum OSHA 10 certificate
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not required)
- Preferred NYS Asbestos License

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
