Marketing & Content Specialist
Full-Time | In-Office | Colorado Springs, CO
This is not an entry-level marketing position.
This is an opportunity to become the marketing leader for a growing retirement planning firm while continuing to develop your skills in modern direct-response marketing.
We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in digital marketing who is comfortable creating social media content, writing compelling copy, updating websites, editing video, and using today's marketing technology.
You'll help shape the voice of our company across YouTube, radio, podcasts, webinars, email campaigns, websites, blogs, and social media, creating educational content that reaches thousands of people preparing for retirement.
Success in this role comes from taking ideas, creating high-quality marketing content, and seeing projects through to completion.
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects and can turn ideas into completed marketing pieces with minimal supervision.
If you're creative, organized, enjoy learning, and want to continue developing your marketing skills while making a meaningful impact, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll work directly with the owner of the firm—not through multiple layers of management—which means you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, receive mentoring, and make a meaningful impact on the growth of our company.
Your responsibilities will include:
Content Creation
- Create and schedule content for Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social media platforms
- Write blogs, website content, email campaigns, and marketing copy
- Create graphics using Canva or similar software
- Repurpose existing content into multiple formats for social media, email, blogs, and video
Video & Audio
- Edit and publish YouTube videos, Shorts, and other video content
- Upload and manage our weekly radio show and podcast
- Edit audio and video for multiple marketing platforms
Digital Marketing
- Update and maintain company websites
- Create landing pages and marketing assets
- Assist with paid advertising campaigns
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements
- Help improve website traffic, lead generation, and online engagement
Marketing Support
- Monitor social media engagement and respond appropriately
- Help execute webinar, seminar, and client education campaigns
- Assist with prospect and client communication campaigns
- Use AI tools to improve productivity and content creation
- Work closely with the advisor to turn ideas into finished marketing pieces
- Coordinate marketing projects from concept through completion.
What You Should Already Know
We're looking for someone who is already comfortable with most of the following:
- Facebook Business Suite
- LinkedIn
- YouTube
- Canva or similar graphic design software
- WordPress or website editing
- Video editing software
- Microsoft Office
- AI tools such as ChatGPT
- Email marketing platforms
- Basic paid digital advertising
- Writing blogs, emails, and marketing content
Experience with podcast publishing, webinar platforms, CRM systems, and marketing automation is a plus.
Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading, and communication skills are required.
The Ideal Person for This Role
You'll likely be successful in this position if you:
- Enjoy creating content that educates and engages people
- Take pride in producing professional, polished work
- Can manage multiple projects and deadlines without losing attention to detail
- Learn new software and technology quickly
- Are comfortable taking an idea and turning it into a finished marketing piece
- Enjoy improving and refining your work
- Are organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Work well independently while collaborating with a small team
- Stay organized while managing multiple marketing projects simultaneously.
- Enjoy learning, testing, and continuously improving your marketing skills.
This Position Is NOT a Good Fit If You:
- Are looking for your first marketing position.
- Need constant supervision to complete projects.
- Dislike writing, editing, or creating digital content.
- Prefer planning marketing rather than creating it.
- Struggle to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Are uncomfortable learning new software or technology.
- Prefer repetitive administrative work over creative marketing.
- Prefer large corporate environments over a small, collaborative office.
- Are looking for a temporary job rather than a long-term opportunity.
