American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a night shift position at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in South Carolina.

Pediatric respiratory therapy unit at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Holiday rotation required

Every other weekend required

Floating within scope may be required depending on experience

No floating to sister facilities

No on-call required

Charting via Epic (experience preferred)

Caribbean Blue scrubs required

RRT certification required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA-issued only)

NBRC certification and SC Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required — SC RCP license must be active and in hand at time of start; license required if applicable

Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric, neonatal, and infant respiratory therapy

SSN and Driver's License required for consideration

Two professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Epic EMR experience preferred

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Provide respiratory therapy services to pediatric, neonatal, and infant patient populations

Orientation modules are completed prior to start date
-
Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any facility within this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler

This facility prioritizes non-local candidates; candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs

During hurricane season (June through November), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
