American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy position at a Level II trauma center hospital in Asheville, NC, requiring at least 2 years of in-hospital endoscopy experience and active ACLS and PALS certifications.

Located on the 3rd floor of a large, 815-bed Magnet®-designated hospital in Asheville, NC
-
Endoscopy unit featuring 9 pre-op bays, 4 procedure rooms, and 6 PACU bays
-
Procedures performed include EBUS, bronchoscopy, ION, EGD, colonoscopy, EUS, and ERCP
-
Equipment used includes Olympus scopes and processors, ION, Olympus ultrasound machine, and ERBE
-
EMR systems used: Cerner and Provation
-
Day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
-
On-call requirement: 2 weekend 24-hour call shifts per 6-week period, plus 1 night per week

Floating may be required to Main PACU, Phase II, Pre-Op, or OR (if prior OR experience)

Block scheduling is not accommodated — scheduling flexibility is required

Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)

Minimum 2 years of in-hospital endoscopy experience required

Pulmonary procedural experience preferred (e.g., bronchoscopy, EBUS)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
-
Candidate should be flexible, self-motivated, and comfortable with a variable-volume schedule

Surgical scrubs are provided by the facility

Pulmonary procedural experience (e.g., bronchoscopy, EBUS, ION) is a distinguishing advantage for candidates

The hospital is a regional referral center and the area's only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital
