What You’ll Do:
Clinical Leadership & Team Development
-
Lead and mentor nurse managers, charge nurses, and frontline staff
-
Foster accountability while building a positive, solutions-focused culture
-
Ensure appropriate staffing plans and support recruitment/retention efforts
-
Oversee onboarding, competency validation, and ongoing clinical education
Quality & Outcomes
-
Drive person-centered, evidence-based care
-
Monitor quality indicators and implement proactive improvement strategies
-
Ensure strong care planning processes and interdisciplinary collaboration
-
Maintain high standards in medication management, infection prevention, and resident safety
Survey Readiness & Compliance
-
Maintain continuous survey readiness
-
Lead survey processes with confidence and structure
-
Oversee investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective action plans
-
Ensure compliance with all federal and Washington state regulations
Operational Leadership
-
Manage nursing department budget and staffing resources responsibly

Partner with the Administrator on strategic and quality initiatives

Serve as the clinical authority and operational leader when needed
What We’re Looking For:
-
Active RN license in Oregon (or ability to obtain)
-
3–5+ years of leadership experience in skilled nursing (DON or ADON preferred)

Strong understanding of CMS regulations and survey processes
-
A leader who builds trust, holds standards, and develops future nurse leaders

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Passion for resident dignity, safety, and quality outcomes

Requirements:
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
Licenses/Certification
Valid RN license in the state employed.
Valid CPR certification.
DNS-CT or CDONA, optional.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience
3-5 years successful experience as a Director of Nursing or equivalent position in long-term care facility preferred
