Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning bathrooms to the highest standards.
- Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, and linens to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, elevators, and stairwells by sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
- Perform floor care tasks including vacuuming carpets, sweeping hard floors, and performing deep cleaning when necessary.
- Handle laundry duties for linens and towels efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages in guest rooms or public areas promptly to management for swift resolution.
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning equipment responsibly to ensure a safe environment for yourself and guests.
- Assist with special cleaning projects such as industrial cleaning or deep cleans during low occupancy periods.
- Support the housekeeping management team in maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality roles with a strong focus on housekeeping standards.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning methods.
- Familiarity with hotel operations or custodial environments enhances efficiency in this role.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy linens or moving furniture when needed.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues effectively.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or specialized cleaning products is a plus.
