Responsibilities
- Lead installation teams in setting up HVAC systems according to detailed schematics and design specifications, ensuring precision and quality.
- Oversee the assembly, testing, and commissioning of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems.
- Coordinate with project managers to plan workflow, allocate resources effectively, and meet project timelines.
- Conduct field service tasks including troubleshooting equipment repair issues related to boilers, air conditioning units, appliances, plumbing connections, and mechanical components.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations; promote a safety-first culture on every job site.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for system fabrication or repairs.
- Mentor junior technicians in reading schematics, performing maintenance tasks, and developing their technical skills in HVAC design and installation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or service technician roles specializing in HVAC installation and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems including refrigeration, boilers, air conditioning units, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans accurately; familiarity with plumbing and electrical wiring is essential.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experienced with equipment repair and maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and property maintenance practices to support system installations or repairs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate driver vehicles safely across job sites.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing field service teams; capable of training others on technical procedures.
