Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook is required.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and principles, including food presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly valued.
