The Division of Infectious Diseases is actively recruiting a Manager, Laboratory Research Operations with expertise in the area of M. tuberculosis and/or other pathogens of public health significance. A successful candidate is expected to have experience in management of research staff, general biosafety level (BSL)- 2 and/or BSL-3 laboratory experience (required), experience in laboratory management to provide support to the laboratory members, and is skilled in ordering supplies and equipment, and interacting with vendors, as needed. Experience in flow cytometry, cell culture, purification of organelles (e.g., mitochondria, etc.), and experience in proper mouse handling.
Desired candidate will have experience in management research staff;
General Biosafety Level (BSL)-2 and/or BSL-3 laboratory experience is required;
Experience in laboratory management provide support to the laboratory members, and is skilled in ordering supplies and equipment, interacting with vendors as needed;
Cell biology: Experience in flow cytometry, cell culture, purification of organelles (e.g., mitochondria, etc.); and
Experience in proper mouse handling. Proficient evaluation of mouse survival, necropsy/harvesting organs techniques.
