Pay Rate: $25-$28/hr
Panel Tech Job Description:
- Perform duties Control technician and activities in the field service department as directed by the Service Manager.
- Perform Start up new Boiler and HRSG units.
- Experience with fire tube and water tube boilers.
- Able to perform burner combustion and correction of burner performance as required.
- Able to hydrostatic testing of boilers and perform boil out.
- Perform cure out of refractory.
- Electrical and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot problems in the field.
- PLC, Honeywell and Fireye background preferred.
- Knowledge of Yokogawa and Foxboro both with brain and hart protocol.
- Knowledge of Clark reliance water level controls.
Panel Tech Skills:
- Repairs and upgrades of gas burners, fuel trains, flame safety devices and controls.
- Installation and startup of adjustable frequency drives.
- Periodic safety audits of combustion and control interlocks equipment.
- Field wiring low/high pressure steam boiler gas trains and controls interlocks and pumps.
- Installation and upgrades on boiler building controls, gas trains and flame safeties.
- Boil outs, clean and flushes, flue gas analysis and startups.
- Burner installations, repairs, upgrades and piping and wiring.
- Feed water pump and controls repairs, upgrades and piping and wiring.
- Skill and proficiency in the use of personal computer software including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to work and interact well with personnel at all organizational levels.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
