American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring SC or compact RN license and EPIC EMR experience.

Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit of a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes orthopedic and bariatric cases requiring telemetry monitoring
-
Patient ratio of 1:5-6
-
Uses Pyxis medication dispensing system and EPIC EMR
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
-
Floating required to similar units or nearby hospitals as needed based on census
-
Active SC or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty required
-
First-time travelers must have 3 years of experience within the specialty
-
Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
-
Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care/management
-
Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
-
Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and oxygen administration via nasal cannula
-
EKG testing skills required

Provide direct patient care for orthopedic and bariatric patients on telemetry monitoring

Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response as needed
-
Administer IV therapy, blood products, and manage central/peripheral lines
-
Orientation occurs every Monday, with annual compliance training required
-
Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials

Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay rate
-
Candidates residing 90-99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced bill rate
-
Night shift travelers for this specialty must reside 50+ miles from the contracted campus, with reduced rates for those 50-99.9 miles away
