PURCHASING AGENT
Duties
- Evaluate prior sales to establish future fulfillment needs
- Research suppliers and negotiate contracts for product fulfillment processing
- Place orders and ensure inventory is properly distributed
- Sourcing and building relations with new suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors and suppliers
- Monitor inventory performance and recommend markdowns or replenishment strategies
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor communications
Qualifications
- 2+ years of buying, purchasing, merchandising, or retail procurement experience preferred
- Analytical Skills: You will be working with multiple vendors to determine the best deals for the company.
- Decision-Making Skills: You will need to use the information you have gathered to make decisions on behalf of the company.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills will be needed to analyze prices and get the best deals possible.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Forecast inventory requirements based on sales trends and track shipments to meet customers demands.
Pay: $58,240.00 - $72,800.00 per year
