Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Remodeling and Restoration Sales/Estimator to join our team. Duties
- Prepare detailed estimates using estimating software such as Xactimate, or similar tools, including material costs, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes
- Manage project budgets by analyzing costs, controlling expenses, and ensuring estimates align with client expectations and project scope
- Utilize construction management software to develop precise proposals, track revisions, and communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, verify measurements, and gather information necessary for accurate estimation
- Negotiate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project timelines, contracts, and scope of work documents that reflect accurate cost estimates
- Review construction drawings thoroughly to identify potential challenges or cost-saving opportunities early in the process
- Assist in managing material requirements from blueprints by estimating quantities accurately using spreadsheets and technical drawings
- Support project management efforts by monitoring costs throughout the project lifecycle and implementing cost control measures
Experience
- Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the remodeling or restoration industry
- Strong background in estimating for commercial construction projects with a focus on renovation or restoration work
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Xactimate, or equivalent construction estimating tools
- Familiarity with construction management software platforms for project tracking and documentation
- Knowledge of contract administration, cost management strategies, and project budgeting processes
- Hands-on construction site experience that enhances understanding of on-the-ground realities impacting estimates
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients through clear explanations of scope changes or cost adjustments

Pay: $55,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
