Ministry doesn't happen without people who make sure the details are covered. As Community Life Assistant, you'll be the operational heartbeat behind the classes, groups, and care ministries that help people take their next step toward Jesus.
This role is a great fit for someone who loves the church, thrives in an organized environment, and wants their day-to-day work to directly fuel the mission of helping people find their place in the SCG story.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate room bookings in Planning Center for all Community Life departments
- Assist with class and event program development
- Support Discipleship, Care, and Community Life Ministries with class and ministry launches
- Keep the Community Life web presence current, informative, and engaging
- Collaborate with the broader pastoral and ministry team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming ministry workspace
Who You Are
- A follower of Jesus with a personal devotion practice and Christ-centered lifestyle
- Detail-oriented, self-starting, and comfortable working independently
- A strong communicator — written, verbal, and across digital platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Apple OS, web, and email; willing to learn Planning Center
- Degree in Biblical Studies, Theology, English, or Communication preferred, with 3–5 years of administrative experience
- An active member of SCG, willing to join an SCG Discipleship Group
- Able to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
Schedule
Tuesday–Friday office hours, 20 hours/week, with flexibility needed during high-season moments like Christmas and Easter.
