Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Operate various types of trucks including flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks.
- Load and unload cargo securely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Assist in the maintenance of the truck by reporting any mechanical issues or required repairs.
Skills
- Proficient in commercial driving with experience in manual transmission vehicles.
- Knowledge of route driving techniques to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Experience operating tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles.
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to transportation and delivery operations.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges that may occur during deliveries.
