Job summary:
This position primarily operates and maintains the plasma and waterjet cutting equipment. This position may also perform other production activities with training. Model specific AKS Plasma & Flow Waterjet training available.
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent a plus but not required
- Manufacturing machine operator experience: 1 year (Required)
- Basic knowledge of computer systems a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude an hand tool knowledge: 1 years
- Manufacturing machine operator experience: 1 year (Required)
- Ability to use/read tape measures and squares, along with a working knowledge of using calipers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
Duties/responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs for Haas mills and lathes, at least 30% knowledge
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes according to the program specifications.
- Operate the Plasma and/or Waterjet equipment.
- Select and set up nozzles and/or cutting tips based on material type and thickness, load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Monitor process gases and report reordering levels to supervisor.
- Operate Forklift and other lifting devices in a safe manner
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
- Perform all dimensional inspections.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
- 0-3+ years of experience in set up, operation and/or programming of Multi-Axis Haas CNC Mill and Lathe.
- Ability to read and understand GD&T, notes and tolerances a plus but not required.
- Willing to learn new task in the field of manufacturing and grow with the company.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times;
- Manual dexterity in order to complete tasks assigned;
