The Educational Coordinator supports the academic success of students enrolled in the High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) program through a combination of instruction, student advising, and program coordination. The position provides approximately 50-60% direct instruction in basic education and literacy skills, with the remaining time dedicated to student support, program coordination, and compliance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and classroom management to student learners
- Deliver instruction using variable modes, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes
- Work with program software, including Canvas and Zoom
- Develop lesson plans, curriculum, and learning activities aligned with the College and Career Readiness Standards
- Lead the recruitment, enrollment, orientation, and retention of student learners, contributing to increased program participation and persistence
- Understand the High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) options and advise students toward the most appropriate pathway to program completion
- Advise students on required coursework, assessment readiness, and individualized learning plans to support timely progress toward HSED completion
- Assist/advise current and graduating students with transitions to college, training, and or the workforce
- Refer students to appropriate academic, career, and support services to reduce barriers
- Provide instructional guidance, mentoring, and technical assistance to teachers and tutors
- Assist with onboarding, scheduling, and training of instructional staff
- Collaborate with staff to address student retention, persistence, and transition outcomes
- Schedule, administer, score, and interpret assessments and other tests in career and course planning
- Maintain accurate student records and assist with timely data entry and reporting in required management systems
- Analyze assessment and outcome data to inform instructional decisions, student advising, and program improvements
- Support compliance with WIOA Title II, state adult education policies, and grant reporting requirements
- Use excellent communication and human relation skills.

This is a full time, grade 7, administrative position working 40 hours per week with an annual wage of $54,063. Benefits include health, dental, long-term disability and life insurance; retirement, tuition waiver; paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.
