Registered Nurse (Emergency Room / ER)
Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every Other Weekend + Rotating Holidays
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a high-acuity emergency department assignment. The RN will provide fast-paced emergency care, assess and stabilize patients, administer treatments, and support critical care interventions while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER RN experience
- At least 1 year of ER travel experience
- Active Massachusetts RN License required
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification required
- Strong IV therapy, IV start, and telemetry monitoring skills
- Ability to pass Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams
- Strong English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC Certification preferred
- ENPC Certification preferred
- PALS Certification preferred
- De-escalation certification training preferred
- Ventilator care experience preferred
- Charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess patients physically, psychologically, and socially
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Perform IV insertion, wound care, and emergency interventions
- Document all patient care accurately and timely
- Assist in discharge planning and patient education
- Support ancillary staff in patient care delivery
- Function as charge nurse when required
- Maintain compliance with hospital safety standards
- Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced ED environment
