Carry out occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, and functional independence.
Train residents in the use of adaptive equipment and techniques for activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Monitor residents’ progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
Accurately document treatments, resident responses, and progress notes in medical records.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized care goals.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques that can be continued outside of therapy sessions.
Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment and ensure proper care of equipment.
Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and standards of care.
