Job description The Quality Assurance Analyst will be tasked with building, reporting, and executing a comprehensive testing strategy within our retail technology and DevOps stack. This includes testing for functionality, security, performance, compatibility, and usability. The role requires a strong communicator who can work alongside multiple external vendors as well as within internal team. The QA Analyst will also collaborate closely with our Retail Technology Team and other cross-functional team members. Responsibilities: • Work autonomously and collaboratively within DevOps and the technology teams. • Develop test strategy plans, scenarios, and cases. • Ensure product teams provide clear documentation outlining feature enhancements, release components, and other change elements. • Create reports that communicate test status and findings. • Make recommendations to enhance QA processes and demonstrate good judgment in implementing methods and time management. • Utilize SQL databases and SSRS for data analysis. • Work cross-functionally with product and project managers to continuously refine plans and test cases. • Communicate test strategies and activities to appropriate team members bi-weekly. • Work directly with third-party vendors to test new releases within the POS and mobile technology stack. • Contribute during vendor management calls by escalating QA concerns or program aspects that require clarification. • Collaborate with DevOps to build quality power platform apps. • Utilize multiple communication channels including Microsoft products, JIRA, Asana, Teams, etc. • Partner with internal teams and vendors to assess the severity of and identify solutions for bugs/defects. • Determine whether a release meets UAT acceptance criteria. • Review release management notes and provide feedback regarding opportunities for clarification relative to new or modified user features. Requirements: • B.A. or B.S. Degree in IS, IT, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. • 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a Technology Department, collaborating with business partners, technical teams, and vendors. • Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD for Power Apps). • Comprehensive understanding of testing concepts, tools, and methodologies. • Experience in retail technology is desired. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. • Ability to learn new software quickly.
