Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant fluent in Polish to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with rooming patients to be seen by the doctor, and facilitate effective communication in both English and Polish when applicable
- Collect patient chief complaint, histories, medication reconciliation, Medicare MIPS questions and assist with scribing the visit in EHR and assisting the provider when needed with procedures in Dermatology.
- Support clinical staff with procedures such as medication administration ( injections), Xtrac laser treatment, wound care, post procedure instructions and suture removals.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately by documenting patient information, as well as everything said by the provider in the room into the visit.
- Assist with patient intake processes, including reviewing medical histories and updating demographic information
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with infection control standards. Also clean and stock rooms daily.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Assisting in triaging patients via phone calls and answering MA phone extension calls when they ring.
- Assisting with prior authorizations, enrollment forms for biologics or accutane as well as any other administration clinical duties like checking incoming faxes, refill authorizations and pathology phone call results to the patient.
- Occasional scheduling of a patient appointment may be needed especially in the instance of a surgical procedure
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within hospital or outpatient settings
- Fluency in Polish is preferred; strong English communication skills are essential
- Knowledge of dermatology is preferred but will train the right candidate with some medical on the job patient care experience.
- Familiarity with EHR systems, ICD anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferably in Dermatology.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety
- Ability to take feedback well and implement that feedback given
- Ability to multitask and effective attention to detail is a must when scribing in the rooms.
- A commitment to work full time and commit to a 1 to 2 year work agreement minimum.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
