Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chemist to join our innovative research and development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced chemical analyses, developing formulations, and supporting product development initiatives within a regulated environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to scientific research, optimize laboratory techniques, and ensure compliance with industry standards such as GMP, GLP, ISO 9001, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements. Duties
- The Chemist will work in a laboratory setting to research, design, and document new or existing product formulas with minimal supervision. This role involves product development, raw material evaluation, benchmarking, and specification testing. The chemist will support scale‑up processes, collaborate with QC, and serve as a technical lead on assigned product lines, ensuring product performance and compliance across a range of adhesive technologies.
- Product Development: Conduct research and develop new adhesive formulations, including solvent‑based, water‑based, hot melts, and solvated rubber technologies.
- Current Product Support: Update formulations, resolve customer complaints/questions, and maintain product certifications.
- Raw Material Evaluation: Assess new raw materials and conduct benchmarking studies.
- Sample Preparation & Testing: Prepare samples, perform color matching, batch process reviews, and specification testing.
- Documentation: Design, document, and maintain records of all projects, ensuring compliance with QC procedures and factory processes.
- Scale‑Up & Manufacturing Support: Support batch scale‑up and collaborate with manufacturing teams when needed.
- Project Management Collaboration: Partner with project management to drive organized development processes for new products.
- Technical Leadership: Act as technical lead on assigned product lines, ensuring performance standards are met.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Engineering, or related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of R&D Chemist experience in adhesive formulation and product development.
- Hands-on experience with adhesion science, rubber-based chemistry, and solvent chemistry.
- Experience developing, modifying, and optimizing adhesive formulations for commercial products.
- Experience supporting manufacturing scale-up, technology transfer, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience conducting laboratory testing, QC testing, performance evaluation, and technical documentation.
- Strong collaboration skills with Manufacturing, Quality, Project Management, suppliers, and business teams.
Shift Timing: 7AM-3:30PM
Weekly schedule: M-F

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
