The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the company’s buildings, grounds, equipment, and facility systems. This position performs routine preventive maintenance, responds to repair requests, troubleshoots facility issues, and coordinates with outside contractors when specialized work is required.
The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently while prioritizing multiple maintenance needs.

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, and facility systems.

Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, doors, locks, and general building issues.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.

Maintain clean, safe, and functional work areas throughout the facility.

Perform minor repairs and adjustments to furniture, fixtures, doors, lighting, and other facility components.

Replace light bulbs, filters, batteries, plumbing fixtures, and other maintenance-related items.

Monitor HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and other building systems and report problems or unusual conditions.

Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and maintenance inventory.

Assist with building moves, room setups, deliveries, and other facility-related activities as needed.

Maintain exterior areas, including basic grounds maintenance, as required.

Coordinate and assist Facilities Manager with outside vendors and contractors performing specialized repairs or services.

Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable building codes.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and work orders.

Respond to facility emergencies and take appropriate action to minimize damage or disruption.

Perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

2+ years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or related experience preferred.

Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.

Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.

Ability to read basic instructions, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Valid driver’s license may be required depending on company needs.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined or awkward spaces.

Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Ability to work mostly indoors and sometime outdoors and in varying environmental conditions.

Ability to safely operate common maintenance tools and equipment.
The normal schedule is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities as required for facility emergencies.

Pay Range: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
