Rasa Spa is seeking a full-time Spa Director (SD) to oversee daily operations at our premier wellness spa and adjacent Waterfront Cafe. The SD works closely with the owner and management team to drive business growth and champion a wonderful guest experience. The SD directly manages and collaborates with a dedicated Assistant Spa Director and a Lead Cafe team member to ensure both the spa and food service teams run seamlessly.

General Spa & Cafe Operations
- Dual-Facility Leadership: Maintain ultimate operational accountability for both Rasa Spa and The Waterfront Cafe, establishing a culture of premium service, empathy, and professionalism.
- Multi-Tiered Management: Oversee, mentor, and audit the performance of the Assistant Spa Director (ASD) and Lead Cafe team member to ensure all department standards are strictly met.
- Multi-Location Operations: Coordinate and oversee laundry, retail product distribution, facility maintenance, and general daily operations for both the main facility and the Library Place location.
- Inventory & Retail Mastery: Work with the ASD to manage the entire lifecycle of backbar, professional treatment supplies, and the boutique retail space, including product research, selection, trend tracking, and reordering.
- Vendor & Facility Care: Supervise the third-party cleaning team, manage their monthly trade account, and maintain the linen program (ordering, bimonthly sorting, and tracking retirement).
- Cafe & Event Oversight: Guide the ASD and Cafe Lead in purchasing food and supplies while also coordinating Community Space rentals.
Human Resources & Compliance
- Hiring & Training: Lead the interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training programs for all spa and cafe personnel, with strategic support from the ASD, Cafe Lead, and Owner.
- Performance & Feedback: Foster an empowering environment by managing continuous employee feedback loops and conducting thorough, timely annual reviews.
- Payroll & Benefits Admin: Organize and submit biweekly payroll, manage all payroll-related reporting, and administer company 401(k) plans and insurances (liability, worker's comp, and health).
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay ahead of all state and federal labor laws, maintaining up-to-date state and county business licenses, health department permits, and practitioner credentials.
Sales, Marketing & Financial Strategy
- Financial Stewardship: Partner directly with the Owner to draft annual operational budgets, continuously monitoring revenue projections and tight expenditure limits.
- Goal Execution: Set, track, and aggressively pursue monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue benchmarks to maximize the overall profitability of spa and cafe operations.
- Marketing Collaboration: Serve as a key pillar of the marketing team, working with the Owner, Marketing Director, ASD, and Cafe Lead to coordinate graphic design collateral, review ad requests, and optimize schedules to maximize practitioner booking rates.
Manager on Duty (MOD) Execution
- Daily Team Supervision: Provide hands-on, day-to-day oversight of the guest services and practitioner teams, jumping in to assist with front desk check-ins, check-outs, and phones as needed.
- Quality & Facility Inspections: Perform meticulous walkthroughs at the start and end of shifts to monitor cleanliness, product stock levels, and timely facility repairs.
- Schedule Optimization: Actively monitor Mindbody to ensure peak booking efficiency, balancing daily revenue goals with service provider wellness.
- Financial Closings: Compile daily sales reports, manage immediate staffing emergencies or call-outs, and execute daily morning bank deposits while communicating any discrepancies.
- Executive Reporting: Author comprehensive daily MOD reports for the Owner, ensuring any pending operational tasks are cleanly transitioned to the ASD for completion.
Pay: $68,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
