- Engineer and optimize manufacturing methods for precision-machined gears and related mechanical components.
- Own process documentation: routings, work instructions, BOMs, and all supporting records within ERP/MRP.
- Guide new product introductions from engineering release through stable production launch.
- Design and iterate tooling, fixtures, and workholding to enable robust, repeatable machining.
- Analyze CNC milling, turning, grinding, and gear cutting processes to reduce cycle time and cost while lifting quality and throughput.
- Partner with CNC programmers, machinists, quality, production, and fellow engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues at the source.
- Interpret drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications to translate requirements into manufacturable processes.
- Lead root-cause investigations and implement durable corrective and preventive actions.
- Advance continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics.
- Manage ECNs, process changes, and documentation control inside the ERP/MRP environment.
- Participate in PFMEA, process validation, and manufacturing readiness activities.
- Provide on-the-spot technical support to production for complex machining challenges.
- BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- 2+ years in manufacturing/process engineering within a CNC machining environment.
- Working knowledge of CNC milling, turning, grinding, and/or gear cutting, with strong GD&T interpretation skills.
- Proven ability to develop routings, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Lean/continuous improvement principles.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and change control.
- Excellent troubleshooting ability and cross-functional communication.
- Precision machining or gear manufacturing experience.
- Exposure to aerospace, defense, industrial equipment, or heavy manufacturing.
- Fixture/tooling design proficiency.
- Process validation and new product introduction experience.
