Job Overview
The Independence Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate middle school teacher to join our specialized school. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment that fosters student engagement and academic success in math and science. Middle School Math- Algebra 1 will be the primary focus for this position. The teacher will work collaboratively with students to develop their critical thinking and analytical skills to create a strong foundation of math skills.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of essential concepts.
- Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that encourage student participation and collaboration.
- Assess student performance through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to promote growth.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that supports student well-being and academic achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development initiatives.
- Provide support to students in understanding complex math and science concepts.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding academic progress and any concerns.
