Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Worker to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of patient rooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Follow established protocols for environmental services to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and buffing to maintain pristine surfaces
- Handle waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with safety guidelines
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety inspections, and supply inventories
- Use janitorial equipment properly and perform routine maintenance checks on tools to ensure optimal operation
- Adhere strictly to infection control procedures and hospital-specific sanitation protocols to prevent cross-contamination
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare or commercial environments preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and environmental services
- Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, sealing, waxing, and polishing floors
- Familiarity with hospital or healthcare facility cleaning procedures is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all occupants
