Job Overview
We are seeking an Junior Woodworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in woodworking and a desire to learn. This role involves assisting skilled woodworkers in building furniture and building basic pieces while learning the craft.
Responsibilities
- Basic woodworking
- Assist other woodworkers with their furniture pieces.
- Unloading lumber deliveries and storing it in its proper place in the shop
- Trips to the store for materials and tools as needed
- Receiving training on how to build wooden furniture
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding in using hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking equipment.
- Willingness to learn and a "can-do" attitude
- Previous experience on construction sites is preferred; maintenance person experience is beneficial.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely
Trajectory
- A successful candidate will have opportunities to add skills and take on more complex projects within a year.
