The Landscape Maintenance Crew Member/Gardener is a hands-on position responsible for providing high-quality landscape maintenance and enhanced gardening services at client properties, including community entrances and focal points.

Essential Functions / Funciones Esenciales
- Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, aeration, overseeding, fertilizing, watering, and general cleanup
- Fertilize plants according to season and plant requirements
- Remove and replace dead or unattractive plant material
- Groom and rake granite areas at property entries
- Perform minor drip irrigation repairs
- Ensure properties are weed-free and well-maintained
- Structural pruning of plants and trees up to 12 feet
- Maintain clear sightlines and community aesthetics
- Make landscape enhancement recommendations
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Maintain company safety standards
- Complete daily pre-task plans and attend weekly safety meetings

Job Skills & Requirements / Requisitos y Habilidades
- Landscape or gardening experience preferred
- General plant knowledge (identification, water needs, soil types, fertilization schedules)
- Knowledge of drip irrigation systems and basic repairs
- Understanding of seasonal plant care, frost protection, heat stress, and drought tolerance
- Ability to identify common plant diseases and issues
- Safe operation of hand tools and power equipment (rakes, shovels, blowers, chainsaws, pole pruners, tillers)
- Ability to operate utility carts and trailers (certification required)
- Ability to communicate in English preferred
Physical & Working Conditions / Demandas Físicas y Condiciones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and perform repetitive motions
- Work outdoors in summer and winter conditions
- Exposure to plants, flowers, tools, and landscaping chemicals

- 8-hour shifts

Prior experience is preferred but not required.
