Job Summary
Provides essential bedside care and support to patients on our Med Surg unit in a Critical Access Hospital setting, which may include acute, swing bed, and emergency department coverage - a fast-paced, hands-on role supporting compassionate, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care
- Take vital signs, collect specimens, and document patient information accurately
- Assist physicians and providers with routine exams and procedures
- Transport patients and specimens throughout the hospital
- Cross-train across departments as needed (acute, swing bed, emergency department)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ND CNA certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Willing to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
