About Dogfather Grooming
Dogfather Grooming is Connecticut's leading, locally grown salon and mobile pet grooming service — proudly serving pets and families across Southern Connecticut for over 20 years. What You'll Do
- Deliver professional grooming services for dogs of all sizes and breeds in our salon environment
- Create a calm, safe, and comfortable grooming experience for every pet
- Build trusted relationships with clients by understanding their preferences and maintaining a professional, friendly presence
- Observe pets’ coats and skin during grooming and communicate any health concerns to owners
- Keep your workstation clean and organized, sanitizing tools and equipment between appointments
- Maintain accurate grooming records and follow all safety, hygiene, and animal welfare protocols
- Collaborate with fellow groomers to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive team environment
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of professional dog grooming experience
- Strong skills in breed-specific and general grooming techniques
- Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds
- Experience with cats is a plus
- Experience managing a salon or leading a team of groomers is a plus
- Portfolio required — please include grooming photos with your application
- A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to providing excellent care
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience with Pet CRM software (MoeGo) is a plus
- Saturday or Sunday availability is required
Schedule
- Full-time
- 5 days a week (Tuesday-Saturday 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Holidays off
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
