Memory Care Director | Senior Living
A premier senior living community in Dover, DE is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Memory Care Director to lead its dedicated Memory Care neighborhood.
This leadership role is ideal for someone who is passionate about dementia care and creating a supportive, engaging environment where residents can thrive. The Memory Care Director will oversee daily operations, lead and develop team members, and ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centered care and programming.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Memory Care neighborhood
- Supervise, coach, and support care and life enrichment team members
- Develop and oversee meaningful daily programs and activities tailored to residents living with dementia
- Collaborate with clinical, dining, and community leadership teams to ensure exceptional resident care
- Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and their families
- Maintain community standards and ensure compliance with applicable state regulations
- Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for residents and team members
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience working with individuals living with dementia
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- A genuine passion for memory care and enhancing the lives of older adults
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
- Valid driver’s license for resident outings and community events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Geriatrics, Activities, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Dementia certification or willingness to obtain certification
