Do you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare transportation environment and have a passion for helping others? AMT is seeking a Billing Specialists to provide daily billing and collections support for transportation charges. In this role you will provide top-notch customer service to patients that have called in with questions about a bill, as well as responding to various agencies.
Review patient care reports thoroughly
Verify patient information
Prepare patient billing by allocating charges to appropriate pay sources; assign appropriate billing codes
Accurately choose correct profit center for each ticket billed
Utilize available resources to help provide correct insurance and/or patient information
Input tickets in a careful and timely manner ensuring correct information on all screens
Input a minimum of 30 tickets on billing days
Make and receive patient phone calls
Screen patients for financial assistance
Review and work assigned workflow schedules in Zoll RescueNet
Accurately and completely documents all conversations with patients, third party payers, and others in ticket notes
Receptionist duties as required

High school education or G.E.D
1 year billing experience
Ability to type 35-45 w.p.m.
Computer skills
Knowledge of private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid billing procedures
Obtains CAC certification one year after released from billing audit
Knowledge of Zoll and its relationship to patient accounts billing
Ability to maintain patient files and sensitive information with confidentiality.
