Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks
- Perform preventative maintenance services
- Repair engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, electrical systems, and driveline components
- Perform diagnostics using electronic diagnostic equipment
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Communicate repair findings with service advisors and management
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Road test vehicles when necessary (valid driver's license required)
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a diesel technician or heavy-duty truck mechanic preferred
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
- Experience with Cummins, Detroit, Paccar, International, Volvo, Mack, or similar diesel engines is a plus
- Own basic hand tools (preferred)
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license required
