Position Summary
The Bishop Hotel is currently hiring a reliable, detail-focused Housekeeper to become part of our close-knit hospitality team. This position is essential to maintaining the hotel’s exceptional cleanliness and guest experience standards, helping ensure every guest enjoys the comfort and charm that define The Bishop Hotel.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards, including bed making, bathroom sanitizing, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing guest amenities
- Maintain the cleanliness of common spaces, hallways, staircases, and shared guest areas throughout all three floors
- Support daily laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels
- Properly care for the hotel’s historic décor, furnishings, and interior details
- Promptly communicate maintenance needs or safety concerns to management
- Provide friendly and professional interactions with guests and fellow team members
- Follow all housekeeping, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of housekeeping experience preferred, particularly in hotels, inns, or historic properties
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and efficiently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably navigate stairs throughout the shift
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Weekend and holiday availability as needed
- Respect for historic properties and careful handling of vintage furnishings
