Description Summary
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business, maintaining strong customer relationships, and increasing sales. This role spends most of its time meeting with prospective and existing customers, identifying their needs, presenting solutions, and managing the sales process from initial contact through closing and follow-up. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, relationship-focused, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop strategic account plans to drive growth and generate new leads
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Negotiate sales contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Build and maintain strong long-lasting client relationships
- Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives
- Forecast and track account metrics, such as revenue and sales pipeline
- Ensure timely and effective response to client request
- Prepare proposals, quotes, pricing information, and sales agreements.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- Preferred but not required, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or experience with engineering background or a related field or comparable record of sales experience
- 5 to 7 years of commercial relationship experience
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with selling commercial HVAC
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Additional Details
- Supervisory Responsibilities: No
- Work environment: Warehouse setting, controlled temperatures
- Physical demands: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Travel required: Expectation likely to be traveling 1-2 days / week to visit prospects and clients on site, but rarely overnight
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
