The opportunity
Lively Pediatrics is a well-established independent pediatric practice in Princeton, WV, led by Tara Mitchell, DO. We're adding a PA-C to our team this fall to provide comprehensive outpatient care for patients from newborn through age 18. If you're looking for a Monday–Friday schedule, no in-person after-hours obligations, and a physician who is invested in your success — this is the role.
Compensation
Experienced PA-C · 3+ years in pediatrics or primary care
Full-time (4.5 days/wk): up to $140,000 + $5,000 sign-on bonus · 3 days/wk: $84,000 · 2 days/wk: $56,000
Newer PA-C · Open to training the right candidate
Full-time (4.5 days/wk): up to $115,000 + sign-on bonus · Part-time: pro-rated
Sign-on bonus paid at 6 months; subject to 2-year repayment if voluntarily separated.
Schedule & benefits
Hours
Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm
No Weekends / holidays
After-hours call - Phone only, no in-person
Patient volume ~24 patients/day
PTO - 2 weeks paid
CME allowance - $1,000/year
Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Black Friday. No employer-sponsored health insurance or 401k.
What you'll do
- Newborn and well-child visits, ages 0–18
- Immunizations per current ACIP schedule
- Acute sick visits — evaluation and management
- Chronic condition management: asthma, obesity, ADHD, headaches
- After-hours phone triage (mommy calls — no in-person requirement)
- Documentation in the practice EMR
What we're looking for
- Current PA-C certification (NCCPA)
- Active WV PA license or ability to obtain promptly
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program
- Pediatric or primary care experience preferred; newer graduates with pediatric interest encouraged to apply
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Contract terms - 12-month employment contract with automatic annual renewal. 120-day written notice required to terminate or decline renewal.
