- Handle and apply chemical agents safely for cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance purposes following established safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other designated spaces to meet health standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify areas needing attention or repair, supporting overall custodial and maintenance efforts.
- Operate cleaning machinery and tools efficiently while adhering to safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks.
- Restock supplies such as paper products, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure continuous facility operation.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or chemical hazards.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques including floor care such as buffing and polishing using floor buffers or other equipment.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures to ensure safe use of cleaning agents and disinfectants.
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff or visitors when needed.
