Responsibilities
- Operate water treatment equipment and systems to meet operational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor plant processes using distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections, perform heavy equipment operation, and execute maintenance on pumps, valves, filters, and other critical machinery.
- Collect, analyze, and record data related to water quality, system performance, and environmental compliance.
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on industrial pumps, plumbing fixtures, and wastewater treatment components.
- Follow safety regulations by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) during all operations and maintenance activities.
- Assist with construction projects or upgrades by providing mechanical support and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of operations, maintenance activities, safety checks, and incident reports for regulatory audits.
Experience
- Proven experience working with water treatment plants is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial pump operation, repair, and maintenance is essential.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in water utilities is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as construction machinery is a plus.
- Background in the energy & utilities sector or environmental compliance enhances your suitability for this role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for analysis and troubleshooting tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety regulations.
- Experience working with water utility distribution systems or in construction environments is beneficial.
