A well-established metals processor is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead all aspects of a high-value manufacturing and recycling operation. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, commercial execution, and continuous improvement within a technically advanced processing environment.
The successful candidate will provide leadership across operations, production, maintenance, safety, quality, commercial activities, and customer service while developing a high-performing team and fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for plant operations with full responsibility for safety, production, quality, maintenance, and financial performance.
- Drive operational efficiencies, cost improvements, and productivity initiatives while maintaining exceptional product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams, promoting employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage operating budgets, capital projects, and long-term business plans.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement process improvements to maximize throughput, recovery, and profitability.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to optimize manufacturing and processing capabilities.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and key business partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within metals processing, specialty alloys, advanced manufacturing, recycling, or industrial processing.
- Previous General Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or Division Manager experience with full P&L responsibility.
- Strong background in specialty metals, titanium, nickel alloys, aerospace materials, or other high-value metal processing operations preferred.
- Demonstrated success improving plant performance, operational efficiency, and financial results.
- Experience leading maintenance, production, engineering, quality, and safety functions.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support customer development and strategic business growth.
- Proven leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
