Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal or Lateral Associate to join our dynamic legal team. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work on real estate transactions, title examinations and corporate work supporting attorneys across various practice areas. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of legal procedures, and a proactive approach to managing multiple projects efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing real estate documents including deeds, titles, escrow instructions, and closing statements.
- Conduct thorough title searches and examinations to verify property ownership and identify potential issues related to liens, encumbrances, or restrictions.
- Coordinate with title companies, lenders, clients, and government agencies to facilitate smooth transaction processes.
- Manage document review and organization using legal support software to ensure all files are accurate and up-to-date.
- Project management related to real estate development projects or litigation matters involving property disputes.
- Contract drafting.
- Forming legal entities such as LLCs and corporations.
- Handle administrative duties including filing, document management systems operation, client communication, and maintaining organized case files using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools.
Experience
- Experience with a focus on real estate law, estate planning and probate.
- Strong knowledge of title examination procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills complemented by effective communication abilities for client interaction and team collaboration.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
