Label Press Machine Operator (2nd Shift)
Position Responsibilities:
The Label Press Operator is ultimately responsible for cutting and preparing custom label orders by converting continuous label material rolls into custom pre-cut label sizes.
- Evaluate the custom order to understand the specifications requested
- Prepare the label press converter with the appropriate material, die cutter, etc. required for the order.
- Operate the label press converter with a high attention to detail, ensuring clean cuts and proper alignments at every step of the conversion process.
- Complete a final quality and quantity check of the order prior to sending it to the shipping department
- Clean and maintain the label press converter
- As needed, assist warehouse support in disposing of machine scraps/waste, keeping working area neat and tidy, and retrieving materials needed for orders.
- As needed, use an electric stacker (hand controlled forklift) to move goods/products/inventory to proper storage location
- Support other departments with various basic tasks, as needed
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Exceptionally high attention to detail for visual inspection of products produced
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Strong math skills with the ability to convert measurements, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages (tools such as calculators are available)
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Good organizational skills to maintain order in the warehouse
- Basic computer skills
- Positive attitude and an excellent work ethic
- Problem solving mentality to handle issues as they arise
- Mechanical aptitude (for things such as maintaining the label press converter)
- Ability to arrive on-time each day at the company warehouse
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs.
- Must be able to comfortably and independently stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and lift for up to 8 hours a day
- Climate controlled warehouse environment
- Must be willing to consent to the company’s standard background check and drug screening
Job Type:
- Full-time
- 2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11pm
Pay:
- $21.50-$25.50 per hour, depending on experience (Shift Differential Included In Pay Range)
Pay: $21.50 - $25.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
