Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

- Provide day-to-day field supervision, guidance, and support to Security Officers during assigned shifts.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Security Officers by providing real-time feedback, performance guidance, and reinforcement of departmental standards.
- Conduct routine patrols throughout the property to identify safety, security, and operational concerns while ensuring a visible leadership presence.
- Respond to guest concerns, emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, and other security-related situations with professionalism, urgency, and sound judgment.
- Support Security Officers during incidents and assume officer responsibilities when operational needs are required.
- Assist the Security Shift Manager in coordinating daily field operations and ensuring staffing assignments, patrol coverage, and operational expectations are consistently maintained.
- Ensure Security Officers comply with departmental policies, company standards, gaming regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, investigations, daily logs, and departmental documentation in a timely manner.
- Keep the Security Shift Manager informed of significant incidents, operational concerns, and situations requiring leadership attention while escalating critical matters through the appropriate chain of command.
- Foster positive working relationships with guests, Team Members, department leaders, emergency responders, regulatory agencies, and outside partners.
- Promote exceptional guest service by resolving concerns professionally while maintaining a safe environment throughout the property.
- Assist with onboarding and field training for newly hired Security Officers.
- Monitor officer performance and provide recommendations regarding coaching, recognition, and corrective action.
- Ensure required security licenses, certifications, and qualifications remain current for assigned Team Members.
- Drive company vehicles safely when business needs require.
- Carry a company-issued firearm and maintain all required certifications and qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of hotel, casino security, or law enforcement experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience directing or coordinating Security personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong conflict resolution, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment during emergency situations.
- Experience preparing reports, maintaining documentation, and completing investigations.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
- Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency using computers and standard business software.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required gaming and security licenses.
- Ability to carry a firearm and successfully complete all company firearm qualification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in hotel/casino security or law enforcement.
- Previous experience in a large-scale resort, gaming, or hospitality environment.
- Experience coordinating emergency response and incident management.

While performing the duties of this position, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, walk, patrol the property, climb stairs, bend, reach, crouch, kneel, lift, push, pull, and respond quickly to emergency situations. This role requires frequent movement throughout both indoor and outdoor areas of the property.
The Team Member must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and responding to visual and auditory cues. The work environment includes exposure to varying weather conditions, secondhand smoke, elevated noise levels, bright lighting, and other conditions commonly associated with a resort and casino environment.
The Team Member must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
