Secure Behavioral & Psychiatric Health Transport Officer Full-Time |South Florida Region | In-Person
CST Care Team is a Florida-based behavioral health transport company seeking experienced Transport Officers to provide safe, dignified, and clinically informed transport for individuals experiencing behavioral and psychiatric health crises. This is not a standard driving role. Our Transport Officers function as front-line healthcare providers -- calm, skilled, and trained to support patients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Compensation & Schedule
- Base pay: $17.00/hr
- Standard schedule is 48 hours per week across 2-3 set days
- The first 40 hours are paid at base rate; the remaining 8 hours are guaranteed overtime at time-and-a-half ($25.50/hr)
- That guaranteed overtime structure brings annualized compensation to approximately $46,000/year
- Additional overtime beyond the 48-hour schedule is available and compensated separately
- Pay is shift-based -- you are compensated for your full time on shift, not per transport
What You'll Do
- Conduct secure behavioral and psychiatric transports safely, professionally, and on schedule
- Provide direct support to patients in crisis, using appropriate de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques
- Coordinate transport schedules and any changes in real time with dispatch and management
- Complete all intake paperwork, client logbook entries, and transport documentation accurately
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness before and after every transport
- Monitor traffic and route conditions to ensure timely arrivals
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, receiving facilities, and internal staff
- Report any potentially dangerous or escalating situations immediately per company protocol
- Follow all applicable state and federal regulations, including HIPAA
