Agile Cold Storage is building the A-team to work in our cold storage warehouse in Park Rapids, Minnesota! Forklift experience is preferred but we are willing to train motivated candidates. We provide complete PPE to wear in the cold environment, offer shift differential for 2nd shift and monthly bonus based on achieving safety, accuracy and productivity together.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work safely - both focused on yourself and your teammates
- Complete pre-shift inspection sheets.
- Load and unload trucks; move product onto pallets in the correct position.
- Scan product and move it to the correct loading or staging area; verify accuracy and placement.
- Secure the product with stretch wrap and attach the correct labels.
- Record materials, weight, counts, and product condition
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack, or dock loader safely to move product.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area; sweep as needed.
- Keep the work area safe and clean, including mopping up any spills caused by cold storage or thawing processes.
Required Qualifications of Stand-Up Forklift Operator:
- Must be capable of lifting to 10-50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak English.
- Must be able and willing to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Strong Teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications of Stand-Up Forklift Operator:
- 6 months experience operating stand up or lift truck preferred, will train motivated candidates.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The employee must have proficient knowledge of English and math skills. The employee also must be capable of following written and verbal instructions. The employee must possess a strong resistance to a cold environment.
Work Environment: While performing these or other duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The employee is frequently exposed to moving machinery. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work Hours:
- 1st Shift (6am-6pm) -SUN, MON, TUES, Every Other WED OR Every Other WED, THURS, FRI, SAT
- 2nd Shift (Overnight - 6pm-6am) -SUN, MON, TUES, Every Other WED OR Every Other WED, THURS, FRI, SAT
Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs. The employee may be required to work overtime, on holidays, or on weekends.
Physical and Mental Demands: This job will frequently require standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching outward, and reaching above shoulder height. Occasionally, it will involve climbing, squatting, kneeling, and bending. The role may also require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items weighing between 10 to 50 pounds.
The associate must be knowledgeable about and adhere to proper office and safety protocols. This includes following Agile’s grooming, hygiene, and dress code policies, as well as using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for safety compliance.
