Position Summary
The Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from the initial site visit through project completion. This position combines estimating, production coordination, customer communication, quality control, and operational support.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates professionally, can prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
This role works closely with office staff, field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to company standards.

Primary Responsibilities
Estimating
- Meet contractors and homeowners onsite to evaluate projects.
- Measure buildings and calculate insulation quantities.
- Create accurate residential and commercial estimates.
- Utilize company estimating worksheets on every proposal.
- Calculate spray foam board footage, labor, equipment, fuel, and material costs.
- Document prep work, masking requirements, exclusions, and project-specific details.
- Follow up on pending estimates and maintain communication within Thryv.
- Educate customers on spray foam products, building science, and insulation options.
Project Management
- Coordinate approved projects with office staff and field crews.
- Schedule projects and monitor production timelines.
- Conduct daily project briefings with crews.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Communicate changes, special instructions, and customer expectations.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and jobsite challenges.
- Coordinate access requirements with homeowners, contractors, and tenants.
Customer Relations
- Maintain professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contact customers within 48 hours after providing an estimate.
- Follow the company's TAP communication procedure.
- Respond promptly to customer questions and concerns.
- Conduct post project follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Request Google reviews from satisfied customers.
Crew Leadership
- Conduct daily/ weekly crew meetings.
- Communicate project expectations and safety concerns.
- Help crews solve jobsite challenges.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
Equipment & Shop Management
- Coordinate maintenance for spray rigs, trucks, trailers, generators, and compressors.
- Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and operational.
- Assist with preventative maintenance scheduling.
- Maintain shop, warehouse, office, and restroom cleanliness.
- Assist with inventory and material management.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
- Ensure proper PPE is worn at all times.
- Conduct routine safety inspections.
- Verify proper ventilation and re-occupancy procedures.
- Follow all manufacturer installation requirements.
Performance Expectations -
Success in this role includes:
- Close 30%–60% of submitted estimates.
- Produce accurate estimates with minimal revisions.
- Complete proposals within 24 hr turnaround time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction estimating experience
- Project management experience
- Spray foam or insulation industry experience (preferred but not required)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on construction jobsites as needed
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
