Job Summary
Responsible for delivering advanced energy-based aesthetic treatments while providing exceptional client care, education, and long-term treatment planning. The Advanced Laser Specialist serves as a clinical expert in device-based aesthetics and is responsible for creating customized treatment plans that maximize patient outcomes while delivering an elevated, luxury client experience aligned with the MK Way.
This role provides consultations, performs laser and energy-based procedures within scope of licensure, educates clients on treatment options, develops comprehensive treatment plans, and collaborates closely with injectors, wellness providers, and estheticians to deliver comprehensive aesthetic outcomes.
The ideal candidate possesses advanced experience with Sciton laser platforms, demonstrates exceptional consultation and sales abilities, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on clinical excellence and patient experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive consultations utilizing the MK Way approach, ensuring clients are educated, confident, and committed to a personalized treatment plan aligned with their goals.
- Perform advanced laser and energy-based aesthetic procedures within scope of licensure and certification while following all clinical protocols under the supervision of the Medical Director.
- Deliver exceptional client outcomes through customized treatment planning and consistent execution of clinical best practices.
- Provide thorough pre-treatment education, informed consent review, post-treatment instructions, and follow-up communication.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation within the EMR, including treatment settings, photographs, recommendations, treatment plans, and follow-up communication.
- Ensure all treatments are performed safely while maintaining compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, manufacturer guidelines, state regulations, and practice policies.
- Monitor laser equipment performance and ensure proper calibration, maintenance, cleanliness, and treatment room readiness.

- SkinPen Microneedling
- Chemical Peels
- Medical-grade Facials
- Dermaplaning
- Additional energy-based technologies as introduced by the practice
- Additional aesthetic procedures as trained and certified
- For RN candidates: aesthetic injectables and other medical aesthetic treatments as credentialed and approved
Practice Growth & Client Experience
- Recommend comprehensive treatment plans that combine laser services, injectables, skincare, wellness services, memberships, packages, and retail products to optimize client outcomes and lifetime value.
- Educate clients on the full scope of MK Aesthetics offerings while identifying opportunities for cross-treatment planning.
- Drive client retention through treatment package completion, rebooking, follow-up communication, and long-term maintenance planning.
- Collaborate closely with injectors, wellness providers, and estheticians to create seamless multidisciplinary treatment plans that optimize patient outcomes.
- Support and uphold MK Aesthetics' policies, pricing philosophy, treatment protocols, and service standards when educating clients and collaborating with team members.
Brand & Marketing Contribution
- Contribute to marketing and brand growth through participation in content creation including before-and-after photography, educational videos, social media content, and patient testimonials.
- Support client follow-up initiatives including reviews, testimonials, and ongoing engagement.
- Participate in educational events, demonstrations, and promotional initiatives aligned with practice goals.
- Serve as a professional ambassador for MK Aesthetics through exceptional patient interactions and community outreach.

- Deliver exceptional customer service while establishing trust, confidence, and clinical credibility.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, sound clinical judgment, and attention to detail while operating within scope of practice.
- Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor consistent with the MK Aesthetics luxury brand.
- Effectively utilize all practice systems including EMR (Aesthetic Record preferred), imaging software, photography systems, and client engagement platforms.
- Maintain flexibility to support evenings, weekends, educational events, trainings, and business needs.
- Seek ongoing education in laser technologies, energy-based devices, skincare, and aesthetic medicine to continuously improve knowledge and patient outcomes.

Required Skills and Abilities

- Advanced knowledge of laser physics, skin biology, and energy-based technologies

Education and Experience
- Current Minnesota Advanced Practice Esthetician license or active Minnesota RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing advanced laser and energy-based aesthetic procedures.
- Advanced Sciton platform experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Sofwave preferred.
- Experience performing SkinPen Microneedling, Chemical Peels, medical-grade facials, and advanced skincare treatments preferred.
- Experience with Aesthetic Record or comparable EMR preferred.
- Current laser certifications applicable to position.
- For RN candidates, injectable experience is considered a strong plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive fine motor movements during treatment sessions.
- Ability to safely operate laser and energy-based medical devices.
